If I were just buying into this stuff, I would. Why do I care about it? Because the newer generation of photographers just getting into buying DSLR's are going to take a very long look at these cameras. I think this camera looks like a heck of a camera system. If you don't care about something, or feel the need to make bad comments, GO ELSEWHERE! Makes us all look like a bunch of butt-backwards insecure people. What the heck is with all the bad attitude on Fred Miranda now days? Snide comments left and right. It is great to see Sony is putting some innovative idea into its live view rather than just following what everyone else is doing. Time to sell your "mediocre" Canon so that you can start to make those fabulous pictures you've always wanted to make, akovacsi. it's good to see some effort being put there cuz i really like the feature in SLRs. I like their quick live-view system, if it works as advertised. I personally think this camera (and its handling are better deals) than back when the XT, XTi were worth $900 when they came out. I like the push of cheaper and capable dSLR by companies out there to dilute the grip Canon has held with mediocre cameras at that price. The A300 and A350 with a 18-70 lens are $800 and $900 respectively.
Wow - very impressive - certainly kicks 450D butt for about the same price! What is it about the unoriginal naming of these cameras? D3 D40 / 1D 40D A350/350XT. Do you think the new Sony A350 will make a turbulance in the mid-range DSLR Market
